Janet - Well, it felt kinda strange pulling in to the driveway of what looked like an ordinary brick ranch house. When we saw the muddiest dog in the whole wide world, we almost didn’t get out of the car. But being the intrepid winos that we are, we persevered, although I did make sure Dan got out of the car first to see what happened with the muddy dog and his pants. When we got inside, we were pleasantly surprised by a sweet couple, a warm fire, and some yummy wines to taste. We didn’t see where the wine was made, we learned that they also raise alpacas (I hope they are less muddy) and even though we only wanted to taste 3 wines we ended up tasting 5 or 6. Go figure, pour a glass of wine for me and dare me not to drink it…

Dan- We bought a bottle of Muscadine, a red table wine that is not as sweet as the other muscadines we have had in the past. It was the least sweet of the wines we tasted, and that’s why Janet liked it.

Update- We served up our bottle of GlenMarie Muscadine table wine with Portabella Mushroom Lasagna. Perfect!
